As many of you know, we added new leaders and members to the Commercial Sales Team last year as part of our push to help drive the company’s commercial sales initiatives. Patrick Aquino, Senior Director of Commercial Sales, strategically organized his group and focus into three key business pillars: Basis of Design/Specification, National Accounts, and Mechanical Solutions. This is a reminder that the 2025 wall calendars featuring our For The Pro® Photo Contest winners are still available for order. If you’d like one for your office, home, or to give out to customers, visit the ‘Literature Store’ in RepConnect®, located under the ‘Resources’ tab. Please note inventory is limited so there is a maximum of 25 calendars allotted to each agency location.

We’re pleased to announce that new segmented anode rod service parts are now available for purchase. These segmented anode rods are intended to be used as service parts and were designed to provide additional flexibility in low clearance applications where it may be difficult to remove and install a traditional solid anode rod.

On December 26, 2024, DOE published a Final Rule in the Federal Register setting more stringent minimum efficiency standards for gas-fired instantaneous water heaters, which will apply to any such product manufactured on or after December 26, 2029. In this action the Department maintains their initial proposal from July 2023 that will require all these products to utilize condensing technology. More specifically, residential gas-fired instantaneous water heaters in the medium draw pattern will be required to meet or exceed a Uniform Energy Factor (UEF) of 0.91, while products in the high draw pattern will be required to meet or exceed a minimum UEF of 0.93.
