Bradford White Corporation Acquires Bock Water Heaters

As many of you are likely aware, we recently announced that Bradford White Corporation acquired Universal Technologies of Wisconsin, Inc., Bock Water Heaters, Inc., and Tank Technology, Inc. These businesses are collectively known as Bock Water Heaters. Bock is a Wisconsin-based water heater and storage tank manufacturer with two manufacturing facilities in the Badger State. The company is well known across the industry as the leader in oil-fired water heating and offers a broad range of commercial and specialty water heating and storage products.

The products that Bock manufactures are a perfect fit to further expand our portfolio and provide solutions our customers have been asking for. Importantly, this acquisition will allow us to provide customers with oil-fired water heaters and large, high input commercial condensing gas fired water heaters. In addition, Bock will provide Bradford White Corporation with additional, US-based manufacturing capacity and capabilities.

Bock will roll up under Bradford White Water Heaters in Middleville, MI and the business will report to Pete Kattula, Sr. Vice President and General Manager. We will provide more details about business operations and logistics in the coming weeks.

Jim French, Bradford White Vice President of Sales – Specialty Products, will oversee the sales operations, working closely with Jerry Albright, Director of Sales – Bock. Jim has extensive experience in the oil heating equipment industry which will bring great value to the integration process. In Canada, Bock reps will become part of the Bradford White Canada rep network. Mark Williamson, Bradford White Canada General Manager, will work closely with Jerry to ensure a smooth transition.

As always, Bradford White supports independent manufacturers’ reps, and that will not change with the acquisition of Bock. We are committed to ongoing mutual growth with our rep partners, and we look forward to meeting the Bock reps that are joining our family.
